Sclerotherapy can significantly reduce spider veins: in this virtually painless procedure, we use very fine needles to puncture the small veins and inject them with a special alcohol that causes them to shrink; just 36 hours with compression stockings are enough to permanently seal the veins. Two to three weekly treatment sessions are usually required to ensure good results. Plan your appointments so that the treatment is complete at least one month before your legs are exposed to the sun again.
